Today our 1st graders went on a little “world tour” of holidays! 🎉🌎
We visited Ms. Li’s 4th grade classroom for an amazing Chinese & American Holiday Celebration! 🇨🇳🇺🇸
From Easter 🐰, Independence Day 🎆, Thanksgiving 🦃, Chinese New Year 🧧, Mid-Autumn Festival 🌕, New Year 🎊, to Halloween 🎃 — we explored SEVEN different holidays!
The 4th graders became wonderful little teachers, introducing each holiday, leading fun activities, and helping our students make adorable crafts ✂️💕
By the end, every 1st grader went home with SEVEN handmade projects and lots of new holiday knowledge!
We absolutely LOVE visiting the 4th grade math stations and culture stations! ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing 4th grade teacher Ms. Li for organizing the Chinese Spelling Bee! 🎉
Students from thebu every grade level participated with excitement and confidence. Our students’ Chinese foundation is incredibly strong! 🌟
Some of our 1st graders can read through FIVE units of Chinese books in just two minutes! Every day, we spend 15 minutes practicing dictation, and the growth in confidence and language skills has been amazing to see. 💪📚
Although only six students received awards, we are SO proud of all of our students. Every child showed courage, hard work, and impressive Chinese skills. Their progress truly shines! ❤️🇨🇳

This week and next week, all of our Red and Blue classes will be having the Foothills Chinese Spelling and Dictation Bee Contest! ⭐🐝
Each grade level will recognize 1st through 6th place winners. The students are so excited, and everyone has been working hard and preparing seriously for the competition!!
