Sometimes, the biggest reminders of why we do what we do arrive in the simplest ways.

This week, after their first visit to Central Wyoming Children’s Center for Art, Technology & Science, one family mailed us this handwritten letter.

Reading that a child found the confidence to keep trying after “failing” in our flight simulator, or that a parent noticed the intentional design behind our exhibits, reminds us that what we’re building is about so much more than a place to play.

As a small-town nonprofit, we dream big. We believe the children of Fremont County—and every family who walks through our doors—deserve hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. We work every day to bring those experiences to our community.

To April and her family, thank you for taking the time to write these kind words. Your letter meant more than you know.

And to everyone who visits, volunteers, donates, sponsors, and cheers us on—you are helping make these moments possible.

This is an annual tradition here, and it’s always a big hit! All ages 5+ are welcome. Materials are hot, parental supervision outdoors for the event it required.

🐦 STEAM Saturday: Birdhouses 🐦
What a joyful, memory-filled day!

From building birdhouses to sharing laughter, today was full of creativity, learning, and community connection. We may have discovered that Mrs. O-G shines a bit brighter in the reading corner than on the construction site—but that just made the experience even more fun! 📖🔨

It was also a special full-circle moment for Len Abernathy and Megan Ober-Goss, who had the opportunity to work with former students and their families—Len with a former student now grown, and Megan with the next generation. Moments like these truly highlight the heart of our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared the event, and supported our program—including those who grabbed birdhouse kits to-go! Your support means so much.

We are grateful for each of you who help make the Central Wyoming Children’s Center for Art, Technology, & Science such a special place to learn and grow. 💛
