Happy Disability Pride Month!
Disability Pride is celebrated in July in commemoration of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act in July 1990 by President George H. W. Bush. This important civil rights legislation prohibits discrimination against disabled people. The Disability pride flag, pictured here, was designed by writer and artist Ann Magill and other community members. The flag features a gray ground with diagonal pink, yellow, white, blue, and green stripes.
You can learn more about the flag here:

Riverton is dedicated to being inclusive and welcoming to all, including people with disabilities, this month and throughout the year!

Our ESY students had an egg-cellent time taking on the Egg Drop Challenge! 🥚💙

With creativity, teamwork, and lots of determination, students designed unique ways to protect their eggs during the big drop. This hands-on STEM activity encouraged problem-solving, critical thinking, and perseverance—all while having fun!

At Orchard Friends School, we love creating meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, celebrate individual strengths, and remind our students that learning can be exciting. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity!
