Kate Patterson grew up in Lander and attended the University of Wyoming where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. She attended graduate school at MSU in Bozeman, MT where she researched mathematical biology (which really means they worked on making mathematical models to model biological systems). After graduating she worked in Auckland, New Zealand modeling salivary gland cells and the effects of cystic fibrosis. She returned to Fremont County because she loves the area and wanted to raise a family here. Kate has been teaching Mathematics at Central Wyoming College since 2012.
