🚔 Week one is in the books!

The inaugural class of the Central Wyoming College Police Academy just completed its first full week of coursework and it’s pretty exciting to see this new program officially underway.

Over the 16-week program, cadets will move from the classroom into hands-on training in areas including criminal law, investigations, defensive tactics and de-escalation, emergency vehicle operations, fi****ms, use of force, report writing and more. The intensive program is designed to prepare cadets for professional service and Wyoming peace officer certification.

And we’re already looking ahead: applications are open for the Spring 2027 Police Academy cohort!
