La Sierra University has a "giving day" fundraising site for a short film the Department of Film & TV is making. It's about E.E. Cossentine and his role in aiding the release of 5 incarcerated Japanese-American students in WWII. It's all true and 100% researched, produced, written and directed by the department's latest Chair, Professor Carrie Specht. It's an important moment in the history of the university and a representation of its core values. Some funding is in place, but more is needed. Being a period piece has a lot of extra special requirements. I hope you can help this story make it to the screen.

Professor Carrie Specht's Short Film script, The Familiar is currently making the rounds in the Film Festival circuit and picking up some laurels along the way. She hopes to encourage students to get their scripts out there too and see what happens. The validation is inspiring!
