Welcome Back Genbu-Kai Riverside!! We hope everyone got a little rest over the holiday break and is ready to train tonight. The first class of the new year is always an important way to start the year off on a positive vibe. So let's start the year with a bang! See you all tonight.
The Riverside Dojo held the last classes of the year tonight and had a great time celebrating with students and parents. We are now officially on Holiday break and hope you enjoy this time with family and friends. From the Genbu-Kai Riverside family to yours, Happy Holidays🎄We'll see you all back in class next year on January 3, 2023🎉
Sharing a cool video from our sister school in Pennsylvania. We're very fortunate to be located so close to Shihan Demura. For those who've never had the opportunity to meet the man who leads the Genbu-Kai organization and the reason we train within this organization, you will have that opportunity at the Interdojo tournament in November. Stayed tuned for more details.
The Genbu-Kai Riverside dojo is currently closed for the holidays. Enjoy this time with your family and friends and we'll see you all on January 4, 2022.

WELCOME BACK GENBU-KAI RIVERSIDE!!
Hard to believe that March 12, 2020 was our last in-person karate class before COVID shut us down. Fortunately, we made a quick transition and got up and running virtually with our first class taking place on April 1, 2020. This week -Tuesday July 6th to be exact, marks our return to limited in-person training. We've made it through the first week and while it felt a bit strange heading to the dojo for class for the first time in 15.5 months, it felt like home and the return to a bit of normalcy. While we've seen each other virtually over this past year and a half, have enjoyed the convenience of training from anywhere, nothing beats training in the dojo and seeing everyone in person. For all of those who have been training virtually - hats off to you for making this quick adaption to your training. It hasn't been easy but that act shows your true karate spirit. Here's to the end week one of in-person training. We are still proceeding with caution to maintain everyone's safety but have been looking forward to this week for a long time. Here's to inching closer to normal training times!!

Don't give up....keep up your training whether you have a black belt, white belt or something in between.
