Warmest welcome to our new Co-Fundraising Chair:
Claudineia Pereira Costa Post Doc
A little about her:
I am of the first generation in my family to achieve graduate education and an academic career. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. In 2018, I joined Prof Hollis Woodard's lab at UCR. My current research focuses on understanding how early development influences the quality of workers and their pollination services. As a Black Woman Scientist, it is my ultimate goal to be a researcher that creates an environment that dually engages and supports other students and researchers from diverse backgrounds.

Lisa Chen, Treasurer
I am a first-generation college student that majored in B.S. Microbial Biology and now pursuing a PhD in Computer Science. My hope is to pursue research that is a hybrid of both and related to my experience in microbiology labs. I like attempting to cook, dreaming about planting a garden with the ability to have Korean BBQ, gaming, reading manga/manhwa, and watching anime. I also recently picked up stock trading as a hobby.
