Model United Nations at UC Riverside

Model United Nations at UC Riverside General Meetings: Tuesdays & Wednesdays @ 7-8pm in HUB 269 & Chung 143 respectively Celly

The Model United Nations Program at UC Riverside is a three-pronged program that allows students, regardless of their academic major or future endeavors, to pursue the study of international politics and finance, diplomacy, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and public speaking. The three major components of the program are: the Model United Nations Club, the MUN at UCR Delegation;

and a rigorous research and debating preparation program consisting of weekly study and debate sessions, background reading assignments, preparatory writing assignments/position papers, and a series of graduate led lectures on the United Nations, International Politics and Business, and Current Events. MUN conference participation gives students the opportunity to compete against the top colleges worldwide. They assist students in gaining valuable skills including conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, cultural awareness, networking, team building, leadership, and public speaking.
