Why TCA?🎭

Meet Char, a TCA OG who has been with us for over 10 years! Throughout her time at TCA, she’s played a wide variety of roles, including Ursula, Lumière, and Paulette. Hear about Char’s journey at TCA!

“Ever since I started TCA it has felt like home to me. It has given me the opportunity to make life long friends and build meaningful connections over the years. Before TCA, I knew I loved performing but I didn’t have the space to do it. TCA not only gave me a place to perform but built up the confidence for me to be able to pursue performing as a career. I will be starting California State University Long Beach in the fall for my BA in Dance. Without TCA I would not have had the courage to follow this dream! I would not be where I am today without the mentorship and opportunities TCA has given me.”

What a wonderful 3 day workshop?! These actors worked so hard and their showcase was awesome!!! Thank you to everyone who came and donated to our nonprofit! All the money raised will go directly into our next production which begins August 5th!!! More info at the link in our bio!

A New York trip for the books. This city is wild but it is magical. I’m so thankful for the Broadway Teaching Group and their inspiring workshop!
I saw 5 shows, as always, here’s my ranking:
1. Masquerade & Lost Boys: tied for #1 because they’re vastly different. Masquerade was unlike anything I’ve ever been to, there are no words to explain it. It was immersive and incredible. The Lost Boys: A New Musical was vampires and tech and opt ups for the ages. I loved them both!
2. Two Strangers (Carry a CakTwo Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)ing and innovative and a beautiful nod to NYC!
3. Heathers was fun, it was not my favorite but I loved the theater space it was in!
4. Death of a Salesman, the acting was incredible but it just wasn’t my favorite.
So thankful for another wonderful trip!!!! Ready to jump into our next production!!!

⭐️🎭Student Spotlight: Mak G🎭⭐️

Mak G. has been part of the TCA familee since 2016, and watching her grow over the years has been such a joy. She has matured into one of the most dependable and trusted members of our company, someone I know I can always count on, whether she’s on stage delivering an incredible performance or behind the scenes helping wherever she’s needed.

From building sets and moving scenery to jumping in without being asked, Mak is the definition of a team player. She leads by example, works hard, encourages those around her, and always puts the success of the production above herself.

On stage, Mak is a standout performer with a captivating presence in whatever role she’s playing. She brings energy, commitment, and professionalism to every rehearsal and performance, making everyone around her better.

We’re so proud of the young woman Mak has become and incredibly grateful she’s been part of the TCA family for nearly a decade. She truly represents what our program is all about, and we can’t wait to see where her talent and work ethic take her next.❤️
