Did you know? JUSD offers FREE after-school programs through Think Together or Woodcraft Rangers at all district elementary and middle schools.

Think Together is available at all middle and elementary schools EXCEPT Troth St. and West Riverside Elementary.

Programs are available Monday-Friday. Times are:

Elementary – Dismissal to 6 PM
Middle – Dismissal to 6:30 PM

✨ What a way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year! 🐎❤️

Today we visited more than 20 classrooms, welcomed our newest Mustangs, handed out over 500 popsicles to beat the heat, and watched our 7th and 8th graders begin learning what Mustang PRIDE is all about.

The excitement, smiles, and positive energy across campus made today one to remember. This was more than just the first day of school—it was the start of an incredible year together.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making Day 1 such a success. We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!

Hoy visitamos más de 20 aulas, dimos la bienvenida a nuestros nuevos Mustangs, entregamos 500 paletas para vencer el calor, y vimos a nuestros estudiantes de 7o y 8o grado comenzar a aprender de qué se trata Mustang PRIDE.

La emoción, las sonrisas y la energía positiva en todo el campus hicieron que hoy fuera inolvidable. Esto fue más que solo el primer día de clases, fue el comienzo de un año increíble juntos.

Gracias a nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias por hacer que el Día 1 fuera un éxito. ¡No podemos esperar a hacerlo todo de nuevo mañana!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new school year, and we are excited to welcome our students back to Mission Middle School. Here is our daily bell schedule to help families plan for the day. Campus opens at 8:26 a.m., with classes beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. We encourage students to arrive early, take a deep breath, and enjoy the excitement of a new beginning. Tomorrow begins an incredible two year journey with this Mustang team and we are excited to have you join us. Our staff is ready to welcome every student and help them start the year with confidence. Remember tomorrow is REGULAR schedule. Our first late start will begin August 13th. Here’s to a great first day and an even better school year.

Mañana marca el comienzo de un nuevo año escolar, y estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes de nuevo a Mission Middle School. Aquí está nuestro horario diario de campanas para ayudar a las familias a planificar el día. El campus abre a las 8:26 a. m., y las clases comienzan puntualmente a las 9:00 a. m. Animamos a los estudiantes a llegar temprano, respirar profundamente y disfrutar de la emoción de un nuevo comienzo.
