UCR Science Olympiad

The 2026 Highlander Invitational absolutely wouldn't have been possible without the help of our hard working volunteers, so a huge shoutout to everyone who worked effortlessly to write tests, supervise events, and grade tests. We had volunteers from all across California who took the time out of their busy schedules to help out, so we are sincerely grateful for everyone's efforts!

Also a huge shoutout to our small group of board members (and especially Mike) for organizing everything, waking up at 5am to set up everything, prepare equipment, organize the teams and events, and make the competition run as smoothly as possible. We are also very grateful to UCR for letting us host the competition on campus. Thank you everyone for making this a great competition!

This is a one-day Science Olympiad competition where middle schools and high schools from across California gather to compete! Feel free to bring your friends along too (have them sign up as well!) You do NOT need to be a UCR student to volunteer!

If you are interested in writing a test for the competition, then please fill out this google form by scanning the QR Code or using the link in our bio. Note: Writing a test can completely be done virtually, and you don't need to be a UCR student either! More info is in the google form!!

We are hosting the biggest STEM competition in the Inland Empire...and we need YOU!

On January 11, 2025, Highlander Invitational will bring middle and high school students from all over California to compete in UCR’s official Science Olympiad tournament. We are looking for event supervisors and graders to help out with the competition!

We are looking for Division B and Division C test writers for our tournament! We will be providing verified volunteer hours to all test writers.
