Congrats to Ming Liu, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, for earning a $400,000 grant from the National Science Foundation! 🎉
His research aims to unlock how light transforms into electricity inside ultrasmall photodetectors — critical devices used in smartphones, fiber-optic networks, and more. With a breakthrough 3D imaging method, Liu’s team will help design the next generation of faster and more efficient detectors.
