Kudos to UCR Music and Culture rising senior Deonna Pope for an outstanding performance yesterday at Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles! And what a program – from Wagner to John Williams, Gershwin to Rossini, drumline to R&B, with a stellar line-up of guest artists from the National Association of Negro Musicians and a grooving set from hit-maker Kenny Lattimore. It is always a pleasure to see our students shine, but especially so on this kind of grand stage!
