You should floss daily….. states “Now your dentist AND your cardiologist may have a reason to high-five you for flossing.
According to research from the International Stroke Conference 2025, people who flossed at least once a week had a lower risk for strokes caused by blood clots coming from the heart. They also had a lower risk for atrial fibrillation, or AFib, an irregular heart rhythm that can lead to a stroke.
Flossing can help prevent gum disease and oral infections.
These are linked to inflammation, which may contribute to hardened arteries and an increased risk of stroke. The research is still preliminary, but there’s really no downside to adding flossing at least once a week to your healthy routine.” I do not own the rights to this photo
