Here are some great clips of presenters and attendees, and a few of the quotes and takeaways attendees shared about the 2-day filled event.
Once again, 2022 Riverside County Google Camp was a smashing success!
The 2-day virtual event featured two amazing keynote speakers. Webster University Professor, Media studies, Julie Nilsson Smith, presented “26 Things Your Students Should Be Doing Online”. And Dr. Nicol Howard, assistant professor in the School of Education at University of Redlands, shared strategies for closing the gap with her “Reframing the Tale of Digital Equity in Education” presentation.
More than 50 experts in specific STEAM education areas led interactive workshop sessions on everything from AI, computer science, digital notes/portfolios, to incorporating culturally relevant CS, project based PBL, problem solving lessons, and visual math for TK - 12 classrooms.
Presenters demonstrated great tools for graphics, video, analytics, assessment, and shared engaging student lessons for coding, storytelling, digital citizenship, and more.
Many presenters provided valuable insight on ways to amplify student voice, make content and lessons accessible, incorporate blended learning and SEL.
As always, updates, enhancements, and how-tos on Google apps and tools for students and educators were presented at the annual 2-day event.
Stay tuned for updates on Google Camp resources and future Education Technology learning opportunities.
