This Keira Knightley–inspired look combines a square outline, square graduation, and a soft transition into round layers
The blow-dry is done with a half-round brush to create natural volume and movement.

I used scissors for most of the cut, then refined the weight line with thinning scissors to keep the volume while removing heaviness.

Finished with a touch of razor around the outline for softness.

Timeless, elegant, and stunning for any age — straight or curly.

Styled right, it becomes a story: sharp where it needs to be, free where it wants to be. A reminder that confidence doesn’t come from the cut… but from the person who dares to wear it boldly.

In this reel, you’ll see how I create a soft, airy curtain fringe using over-direction and my signature “L” technique. This method shapes the outline while cutting deeply into the perimeter, giving you one technique with two results — softness around the outer frame and beautiful internal layering.

So often, curtain fringes become heavy, clunky, and close the face down. This approach frames the face while lifting and lightening the features, creating openness and softness.

It’s one of my favorite techniques, which I designed many years ago and has served me well over the years

This September, I’ll be heading backstage at New York Fashion Week to bring designer Malan Breton’s vision to life — and I’m inviting passionate hair artists to join me on this incredible experience.

On Friday, September 12, I’ll be leading the hair team, and I’m looking for dedicated assistants who want to be part of the magic behind the runway.

As my hair assistant, you’ll help shape the looks that bring Malan’s collection to life, where creativity meets couture.
