10-A-Day Speaks Gavel Club has 10 speech projects that help members develop speaking skills one step at a time. Members have the opportunity to participate during the meetings as a grammarian, evaluator, timer, speaker, humorist, provide an inspiring invocation, or several other roles that help build confidence in their communication and public speaking skills. We make the meetings fun and intere
sting by imitating family television shows or fun board games. The students are also allowed to use their spoken word poetry, prose, storytelling, dramatic interpretation, and extemporaneous speaking skills. We also invite professional motivational speakers, community leaders, educational professionals, and subject matter experts to provide guidance, support, personal development and training for in their academic studies, college preparation and professional career choices. Members who meet the requirements of the Leadership Program will be mentored by professional motivational speakers, and will be given the opportunity to speak at schools, colleges, businesses, as well as charity foundations, community groups and other organizations. Our club is recommended for kids, ages 6-17 years old, including students grades K-12. In our program, you learn the art of communication and public speaking in a mutually supportive, positive, fun and friendly learning environment. We provide helpful, effective feedback and constructive evaluations, necessary for all participants to learn and grow.
