Halloween at Riverdale Middle School. The students and staff were all smiles as we closed out Red Ribbon Week with "Book Character Day" and our school-wide "Candy Giveaway." Thank you to our parents, staff, and community partners for all of the candy donations. All of our Spartan Scholars were able to receive generous portions of candy as they headed into the weekend. Week two is underway!

Friday, May 9, 2025 – This will be the last day of school for graduating seniors. Seniors will take their
final exams. Seniors are advised to meet with their counselors to ensure all graduation requirements have
been fulfilled. After May 9, seniors should not be on any campus unless they have a scheduled appointment,
Advanced Placement (AP) Exam, graduation rehearsal, a special recognition event, or a school-sponsored
senior activity.
Final Week of the 2024-2025 School Year
Due to calendar issues beyond the school district’s control, graduation ceremonies for members of the
Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) Class of 2025 will take place DURING the final week of the
2024-2025 School Year. To accomplish this, the district will follow a different schedule this week. Monday,
May 19; Tuesday, May 20; and Wednesday, May 21 will be half days for students in grades six
through twelve (6-12). The dismissal schedule for these dates will be as follows:
● High Schools - 12:00 p.m.
● Middle Schools - 1:00 p.m.
● Elementary Schools - 2:30 p.m. (Regular Time)
Thursday, May 22, and Friday, May 23, will pivot to Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom
(ELBC). All students in grades PreK-12 will remain home for asynchronous (independent) learning.
All district staff will report to their respective locations to engage in professional learning to enhance and
improve classroom practices and to fulfill duties associated with graduation ceremonies (high school staff).

Special note: The school district will provide breakfast and lunch meals to all CCPS students on Thursday
and Friday, May 22-23, ELBC days. Students will pick up their breakfast and lunch meals at school on
Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

CCPS Announces 2025 Summer Meals Program

JONESBORO - Beginning Monday, June 2, 2025, the Clayton County Public Schools’(CCPS) Nutrition Services
Department will launch its Summer Meal Service Program at multiple schools and community locations
throughout Clayton County.
Most summer programs will run from Monday, June 2, 2025, through Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Kendrick
Middle School will run from Monday, June 2, through Friday, July 25, 2025. The Summer Meals Service
program aims to provide nutritious breakfast and lunch meals to children 18 years and under, or individuals over 18
with a state-recognized mental or physical disability. Remember that meals must be consumed on site; meal
services will not be provided on Thursday, June 19, or Friday, July 4; and this information can also be found on
the Clayton County Public Schools Nutrition website.
