***Important Announcement***
Today the Superintendent announced that students coming to school will be delayed 2 weeks. Students will now be coming on Wednesday, August 26th. Please follow the link to see his message.

Start Strong / Latest on Reopening Plans for 2020-21 We can’t wait to welcome you back to school in the classroom and virtually! Please watch the video below for a message from Dr. James Gray, Superintendent for Jefferson Parish Schools.

It’s that time of year!! School is about to begin and we will be having our Meet and Greet a little differently. It will be a drive by spread across 3 days and be specific to certain grade levels. This drive by is to see your child’s teacher and get information packets for parents to review and/or fill out and return to school on the student’s first day. See below for the schedule.

Friday, August 7
6th, 7th, and 8th grades (drive through the front parking lot)
6th grade—12:00 pm
7th grade—12:30 pm
8th grade—1:00 pm

Monday, August 10
4th and 5th grades (drive through the front parking lot)
4th grade—12:30 pm
5th grade—1:00 pm

Monday,August 10
3rd grade (drive through the back horseshoe/carpool lane)
3rd grade—12:00 pm

Tuesday, August 11
1st and 2nd grades (drive through the back horseshoe/carpool lane)
1st grade—12:30 pm
2nd grade—1:00 pm

Parents and students are to stay in their vehicle. Teachers will be there to see and hand out the packets.

We are looking forward to seeing you online or in person on Wednesday, August 12th.

It's the last day of school, HPHK! What a roller coaster of a year it has been! We encourage you to celebrate the start of summer tonight - whatever that means for you! Play in the hose, eat a popsicle, put away your pencils and notebooks, have some BBQ....whatever means SUMMER to you! We are so incredibly proud of your hard work during this time away. We are still missing you like crazy, and we are wishing you all health and happiness during this summer break!

Can we just take a second to remember how GREAT this year has been, despite all the struggles it has ended with???? We are so incredibly grateful for the memories that this year holds, and for being able to spend this time growing with our school family - in so many ways! We know this has been tough, but we can't wait to see how much everyone has learned from these experiences. Here's our last throwback Thursday. Here's to an absolutely amazing school year!

It's Work it Wednesday again! Today, we have to highlight one of our always essential secretaries, Ms. Kathleen! This is the smiling face and sweet voice that greets you on the phone or in our office everyday. She has been doing so much for our school during this corona break, and we can't thank her enough! You rock, Ms. Kathleen!

Our last Motivation Monday goes out to fifth grader Makayla Morter. Makayla has been continually working on her academics and her dancing skills while she has been away from school! She has been a great dose of positivity for her family, friends, teammates, and classmates even from a distance! Thank you for helping us stay motivated and keep our chins up, Makayla!
