Mega photo drop of so many fun summer activities! We built castles and volcanoes, sewed cloud plushies, had lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpting with clay, plaster gauze, and wire with beads. We made masks and up cycled paper grocery bags into homemade sketchbooks. We wrapped it all up by making slime the last day of art camp.

Our Fall 2026 session begins 2 weeks from today, Tuesday, September 1st! The website is now updated with all the class and event information for Fall 2026 and we are now currently enrolling! To register for classes, email: [email protected] !!!

Hello Scamp Family!

Happier news ahead .......

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone that took the time to send love, healing energy, kind comments, offers of help and words of encouragement after my last post. I am truly blessed and just honestly kind of spoiled rotten by this community! You all are the reason I continue to do what I do with the utmost joy and excitement even after 15 years of ups, downs, and uncertainties.... because I've never once had to walk through this journey alone. I've had so many students become friends and family and on days when I question everything else in life, I never question that I am doing the work I should be. I truly love and appreciate you all and so very, very fortunate and blessed that each of you found this odd little hole in the wall, and keep coming back. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart💜

And along with this gratitude, I have a happy update to share. The Studio has been offered a local, nearby space to set up shop, should the building sell ( still no offers,) and if we need to relocate. I cannot offer more details as it involves others and details that aren't mine to share, but, come what may, we will have a home base 😊

Today we wrapped up another Summer of art camp, ( photo dump soon! 10 weeks, sooooo many projects!) and in two and a half weeks we jump feet first into our Fall 2026 Session of classes and events.

I need 500 naps and I love you all. Thank you.

Hello Scamp Fam and Friends!

Unfortunately I'm hopping on here to do a bit of damage control. First, I want to assure you all that no matter what, I plan to keep Scamp up and running, come what may. Sorry if that sounds ominous. Let me explain.....

Roughly 4 months ago, the landlord of the building Scamp rents told the other tenant and I through a third party that he would be selling the building. It has been on the market all summer with no interest. I have not discussed this with anyone because I was hoping to have more of a decided plan in place or more knowledge of what the future holds specifically, rather than deal with speculation, worry, and especially gossip, that we are shutting down. I have no intention of doing so.

Unfortunately this morning the landlord placed a For Sale Sign directly in the studio front window, without notifying me first and allowing me time to speak to everyone ahead of time, discuss fears and concerns, ect.... It's within his rights, but it didn't allow me to handle this the way I would have preferred.

Moving forward, this is what I CAN say definitively:

I will be doing everything in my power to stay in the immediate-ish area. Should a buyer for the building be found, hopefully they will see the value in keeping an established business in the storefront. If not, I have already had my eyes peeled for local listings for a possible nearby home for Scamp Studios and am actively preparing to pivot if need be.

I love the little community we have built here with all my heart, and it is our little Studio family that continues to inspire me to keep pushing, even when things feel uncertain. I appreciate your ongoing support more than I can express and will keep everyone posted moving forward. But please know, I have no intention of closing down. For as long as I have anything to say or do about it, you are stuck with me. 😉

Kids Step-by-Step Painting Workshop!

Just like the adults! (but no wine! We have snacks though!)
A fun weekend class where the students are taught a new painting start- to
– finish each month!

For Ages 8-14yrs

Price: $20 per child, includes all materials, step by step drawing and painting
lesson, and a small snack. (Please indicate if your child has any allergies at
registration!!)

Dates: Sunday, August 9th, 1-3pm

Pre-registration is required at least one day prior to event date!

Brushes and Bubbles! A Grown-ups only Wine and Painting Workshop!! (For Adults 21+)

This workshop will provide adult students the opportunity to learn a new skill and create a beautiful piece of artwork while relaxing in a fun, social setting.

Price: $25 per student, includes all materials and lesson.

Students are Welcome to BYOB!

Date: Friday, July 24th, 6:30-9:30pm

For the sake of instructor preparation, we ask that you please call or email as early as possible to save your space in class, and that you please arrange to pre-pay, if possible, once your reservation is confirmed.

Hello Scamp friends and Fam!!!
I hope you all are enjoying a beautiful start to Summer Vacation! We kick off our Summer 2026 Session of Camps and Programs this coming Monday, June 8th! Please note, if your child will be joining us for camps this coming week, please pre-register by this evening, to ensure we have enough materials for everyone!!

Our Spring and May Mini-Sessions were so much fun and felt like the flew by in a blink. Our kids classes did fun mixed media projects, including a randomized drawing game where first we drew, the sculpted, cute little monsters, and our adults really showed out with some beautiful pieces at our last Brushes and Bubbles Painting Workshop! More artsy shenanigans are set to start this Monday! Hope you can join us!!!!
