We’re excited to continue our spotlight on the newest members of the Concordia University Chicago Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026 with former women’s soccer standout Kari (Zielke) Brennan (BA ’09, MA ’13)!

A four-year member of the Cougar women’s soccer program from 2005–2008, Kari established herself as one of the most accomplished offensive players in program history. Over 75 career matches, she built an incredible legacy and continues to hold CUC records for career shots attempted (267) and shots on goal (157).

Her name remains all throughout the Concordia-Chicago record book, including career totals of 110 points, 48 goals, and 14 assists, along with standout single-season marks. Kari’s relentless play, consistency, and impact on the field made her one of the most dynamic players in program history.

In addition to her success on the field, Kari was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team three times, reflecting her excellence both academically and athletically.

Please join us in celebrating and congratulating Kari (Zielke) Brennan on her well-deserved induction into the Concordia University Chicago Athletic Hall of Fame!
