"Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher." For me and for countless others, that great teacher has been Craig Sale, 2025 recipient of the Frances Clark Center Lifetime Achievement Award. Last night I had the honor, along with Pamela Pike, of introducing this great man at the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy Awards Ceremony. Craig made me the teacher and person I am today and every day I am beyond thankful for his teaching, mentorship and friendship.

A BIG congratulations to the students who played in last night's recital! Everyone was so poised, musical and played beautifully. From "Dinosaurs" to Chopin, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff they filled the evening with some lovely sounds and I'm quite proud of them. Congratulations to all!!

These young people impressed us all on Friday night with their poised and musical performances at First United in Oak Park. Many played their AIM programs for us and will play them again on March 2nd at their exams at Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts. A big thank you to their parents, grandparents and family for all of their support and encouragement. Congratulations to all!!
