We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our very own! 🎉

Young patron Eden (in the sparkly blue dress!) was selected as a winner in the 2026 Illinois Literacy Foundation Summer Reading Program Challenge, earning a special Cubs game experience.

Eden was randomly chosen from 8,732 students nominated by participating public libraries across Illinois after completing their local summer reading programs. A true library super-user, Eden loves visiting the library, is a big fan of S'more, and would rather spend time at the library than almost anywhere else!

Congratulations, Eden! 📚⚾💙
