Check out this article on how South American countries are advocating for a new position at the United Nations in regards to human rights violations within the LGBTI community. If this resolution were to go forth, it would be an incredible step towards acknowledging the impending concern of these LGBTI rights on an international level.

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY! Model UN together with University Ministry will be having an event called "Fighting for Human Rights" on Tuesday April 26th at 5:00PM in Springer Suites. We will be having a speaker on campus, Fr. Eddie De Leon, a representative of Claretian Missionaries to the United Nations. He will speak on his experiences working at the UN as well as his work with indigenous rights in South America. Bring your friends!
