Alumni volunteer opportunity!

Alumni volunteer opportunity: Help DU clean up the Grotto, Saturday, November 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

We will be lifting the sunken pavers that create the path and meeting space in front of the Grotto, cleaning and putting them on a pallet for later installation, which will create a new and larger gathering space with a new winding path leading to the entry to the Grotto.

Volunteers will be working together in teams to dig the stone up, walk the paver to the pallet area and clean the stone, which will then be placed on a pallet for later use.

You will need to be able to bend, stoop, use a shovel, lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and in some cases, kneel. We'll meet in Parmer Hall at 10 a.m., with lunch following at noon in the Shaffer Silveri Atrium in Parmer Hall. It's Homecoming Weekend at DU! Are you going to any of the events?

is heating up! Students cooked up smores on a bonfire last night. The action continues this afternoon with alumni games for men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball, followed by an alumni biergarten in the Underground and a free show by Comedian Tracey Ashley in the Lund Auditorium. Tomorrow the fun continues with varsity soccer, volleyball, a tailgating cookout and student dance.

It's contest time! :)

Hey alums, it's contest time!

To kick off Homecoming Weekend, we want you to show us your Dominican spirit:

1. Don your favorite Rosary College or Dominican University gear, take a photo of yourself and upload it to our wall.
OR
2. Upload a picture of yourself from your RoCo/DU student days.

All alums are eligible – RCAS and grad schools, in town for Homecoming or not! We’ll share your photos throughout the weekend, so be sure to check back often to see all the pics.

All alums who post a photo between now and noon on Wednesday, October 16, will be entered into our raffle for Dominican goodies. One randomly selected winner will be announced by the end of the day on 10/16. Go dust off those photo albums and start scanning or dig out your old t-shirts and take photos now!
