Heartland Montessori is looking for a kind, creative, and dependable person to join our team! This position works with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a calm, joyful Montessori environment.

✨ About the role:
Our program encompasses a school day cycle as well as an afternoon program. The role would provide guide support to our classes during the day and close our afternoon program. The afternoon program close to the child’s day—outdoor play, creative activities, meaningful connection, and support for children as they transition home. This is not “babysitting,” but intentional care that respects each child’s development and independence.

Truly enjoys being with young children
Is patient, warm, and emotionally attuned
Respects child development and individuality
Can bring creativity, curiosity, and a sense of calm to the day
Values Montessori principles (experience preferred, but not required)

🌞 Elementary Summer Care — Community Discounts!

We’ve heard from many families that elementary summer care in our area is filling up fast. Programs like Kids Club are already full or nearly full for several grades.

Because of this, Heartland Montessori is opening additional opportunities for families who still need care this summer.

To support our community, we are offering special tuition discounts for our Elementary Summer Camp (1st–5th grade):

✨ 50% off tuition when enrolling for the full summer ($30 daily rate, $150 weekly rate)
✨ 30% off if you register before May 1 ($42 daily rate, $210 weekly rate)
✨ 25% off if you register before June 1 ($45 daily rate, $225 weekly rate)

Our summer program includes:

🎨 Storytelling through art, puppets, and personal sketchbooks
🌿 Nature-inspired projects like mandalas, weaving, and land art
🔨 Building and sculpture projects—including cardboard cities and mixed-media creations
🤝 Collaborative murals and pop-up art installations around town

🌞 A Summer of Meaningful Making at Heartland Montessori

This isn’t just another summer camp—it’s a space where children can slow down, create, and truly connect with their work.

At Heartland’s Elementary Summer Camp, children entering 1st–5th grade spend their days exploring ideas through their hands, guided by curiosity and inspired by the world around them.

🎨 Art that tells a story
Children design personal sketchbooks and art journals, create puppets and perform mini shows, and even curate their own mini art gallery—sharing work that reflects their ideas and imagination.

🌿 Art inspired by nature
Campers create nature mandalas, explore Andy Goldsworthy-inspired land art, and try nature weaving—using the outdoors as both inspiration and material.

🔨 Building, sculpture, and craftsmanship
From cardboard city builds and mixed-media sculptures to constructing with real tools and wood, children bring their ideas to life. They’ll create found-object sculptures (loose parts) and even design 3D creatures from imagination to creation.

🧵 Making with a purpose & collaboration
Children work together on mosaic murals, storyboard murals, and collaborative installations—including “art bombing” and pop-up art experiences around the community.

Throughout the day, children enjoy time outdoors, collaborative games, and the freedom to explore within a calm, supportive Montessori environment.

This is summer the Montessori way—relaxed, purposeful, and deeply respectful of who children are becoming.

We’re thrilled to announce that Heartland Montessori is offering FREE 4K for the first time, made possible through a flagship program with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF).

- Who: Children ages 4–5 who are not yet enrolled in kindergarten
- Program: Half-day 4K (all 4K programming is half day)
- Need a full day? We also offer wraparound care for families who need full-day childcare
