I am a Certified ISR Instructor and the owner of Soul Survival Swim School, LLC. According to the CDC, drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for infants and young children between the ages of 1 and 4 years old. As a former Red Cross Water Safety Instructor it is my life's purpose to improve the safety of children in and around the water; but it should be noted that traditional swimm

ing lessons do not teach these self-rescue skills to children in this age group. As a Certified ISR Instructor, it is my distinct honor to serve my community, West Central Wisconsin and East Central Minnesota, and make the ISR program available in our area. I'm monitoring the storms again today and there will likely be lesson cancellations. The forecast and radar are showing lightning nearby throughout the morning and possibly in the afternoon. I'll keep you updated as I learn more.

It looks like it could be a stormy morning with intermittent lightning today. Just a reminder to check the "Spark" feature of WeatherBug before you leave for lessons. If lightning is within 10 miles of my location within any 30 minute period (even if a storm has passed) then there will be no lesson in that period. With that in mind, I will swim with as many students as safely possible this morning.

No lessons today or tomorrow. Forecast for our area shows that we might reach 60°F between 10-11am this morning, but this cold rain makes me less confident. Tomorrow's forecast is rain, storms and not likely to reach 60°F until noon or later. See you all on Thursday!
