📚✨ We’re Back! ✨📚

We welcomed our students back on Monday and have had a wonderful first half of the first week of school! It has been so exciting to see our classrooms filled with smiling faces, learning, and lots of fun. 💙

We were so excited to see all of our JCA families come out for Meet the Teacher! It was wonderful welcoming everyone back and kicking off another great school year together!

We wrapped up our final day of Camp with a fun-filled Flubber theme! 💚 Campers made their own slime while exploring different textures and smells through hands-on learning.

🧜‍♀️ Today our camp theme was The Little Mermaid! 🌊

We started the day playing outside, then cooled off with delicious popsicles! 🍧 We painted our very own seashells and created adorable jellyfish after learning some fun facts about the ocean. During snack, we watched a few clips from The Little Mermaid.

One of our favorite activities was Sink or Float! We went on a scavenger hunt around our school to collect different objects, made predictions about whether each item would sink or float, and then tested our guesses. It was so much fun watching the “magic” happen while exploring a little science together!

Today was all about Wreck-It Ralph! 🍭🚗💥

We practiced dotting our names using “Candy Land gumdrops” then we designed and created our very own Ralph-inspired race cars for some yummy fine motor fun! We watched some of the movie with our snacks on the carpet!

Our favorite activity was the “Wreck it Relay”, where teams worked together to build towers, wreck them like Ralph, and race to rebuild them. Theresa room was filled with laughter, teamwork, and lots of excitement!

Today was another fun filled day as we stepped into the world of Toy Story! We spent time playing outside in the sunshine and then came in to cool off with some favorite clips from the movie! Everyone enjoyed the “There’s a snake in my boot” race! We also got to make our own Forky friend to take home and put our problem solving skills to work by rescuing toys that needed our help!
