With this craft; not only was it minimal mess, but also it was a craft to keep forever ❤️
Each child used our ziploc method (gallon bag with a canvas and paint dots placed inside) to practice fine motor skills as they created their own back ground. Followed by practicing our colors to pick out all of our feathers. And finished with a little more fine motor skills to place their eyes and nose ❤️

For our parents who are prepping for the school year we would like to remind families this is one of the many reasons we offer drop-in care. If you’re worried about school closures causing a disruption to your work schedule then we have the solution!

I recently was asked:
“Why do you offer drop in care? Doesn’t that take up spots you could have a kid full time? Wouldn’t you make more money with having a child consistently?”
And the answer is simple. We don’t all have a need for daycare everyday. HOWEVER, sometimes we just need a day.
So in response to the question above, I have a question for you. Can you check off a single box below where you needed even just a few hours out of the month? I can mark off every single one of these boxes as to why I needed someone to watch one of my littles. With my Drop-In care services there are no minimums or requirements. You simply reserve the time you need on a monthly basis. Whether it’s for brunch with the girls, a day to catch up on paperwork, or a week of recovery after your spouse goes back to their 9-5.

Things to know:
✨ We are known for our Drop-In option. This means families utilize us to fill in when their other providers have closures or schools are closed. Only need care once in a while? Then this is perfect for you.
✨ We learn through play. How? Painting for example can teach children color wheels, proper hand positioning for writing, all while engaging the child. Edible necklaces (ribbon threaded through cereal) teaches fine motor skills and patterns. Gardening teaches children about the environment and biology. This is the way of Montessori. It’s their life, we just live in it.
✨ Meals are included and allergy friendly to all our tots ♥️
✨ Weekend Drop-In events

If your looking for a fun craft to do with the kids try out these rainbow flowers!

Step one: create a smiley face
Step two: cut out different color strips of paper
Step three: let the littles put glue all over the back of smiley
Step four: have them use their fine motor skills to put the tip of one side on the glue
Step five: have them bring the other tip of the strip together to create the loop look
Step six: after all your petals are complete, find a sheet of paper for the littles to place glue on the center
Step seven: stick your flower to the paper ❤️
