Senator Jim Justice spoke to our student body today about the importance of "dreaming really big because all kinds of good can come from it."

He praised our graduation rate and encouraged students to consider post high school plans in college and vocational trades.

Justice reminded students that having their principals, teachers, and coaches care about them is "a big step forward at the end of the day," but that they must care about themselves and each other as well.

Students had the chance to speak to the senator and pet Babydog.

Last Friday at the Homecoming Pep Rally, Mr. Mullins and Mr. Knotts took a pie to the face for attendance! The Junior class had the best attendance since the last pep rally, so two juniors were randomly selected to pie them in the face!

Also, three students who missed less than two days of school in the last month were also randomly selected to receive free tickets to the Homecoming game!

These rewards, and others, are being offered this year to our students through the Communities In Schools program and our Site Coordinator, Kelly Rake.
