Seniors will have the opportunity to earn a graduation cord for their attendance again this year! Seniors who miss LESS THAN 18 days will receive a cord. This includes both excused and unexcused absences. 😀🎓

Welcome Back students!!! We hope you had a great first day!
Student council is working on some ways to bring back class competitions! Our first competition of the year is THIS FRIDAY at our HOME football scrimmage! Instead of $5.00 to get into the game we are doing a supply drive for the Family Crisis and Intervention Center. They are always in need of household items for those that have been displaced from their homes due to an emergency situation.
This goes for PARENTS and any other spectator! Bring one of the following supplies and support the grade of your choice!

Ripley High School wishes to congratulate Jackson County Schools on being ranked as the # 1 school system in the state of West Virginia on SchoolDigger! What a wonderful accomplishment and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and staff in our school system!

Ripley High School is ranked as the 14th best school in the state, our highest ranking since SchoolDigger began school rankings in 2009. We are proud of our contribution to Jackson County Schools’ success, as all of our schools should be proud.

Let’s not stop here – we have more work to do and more children’s lives to impact!

Public Preview of School Library Books - 2026-27 School Year

Jackson County Schools provides the opportunity for parents and interested citizens to visit those schools with staffed libraries to preview new library books purchased for the upcoming school year.
Ravenswood and Ripley high schools and middle schools will offer this opportunity during the week preceding the first day of school for students. The books will be on display August 13-19, 2026, on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Those interested in reviewing the new school library books must call the administrator of the respective school and make an appointment before visiting the library.

UPDATED Freshman Orientation Information.

Senior parking spot assignments will be conducted on Monday, August 10 at 9:00 am. Officer Cummings and Mr. Banton will meet with students at the front of the Annex building to assign parking spots. Please try to arrive at 8:45 am so that we can start promptly at 9. Bring your driver's license. You must be a licensed driver with a vehicle to be assigned a spot. Also, if you wish to paint your spot, please bring $10 with you Monday morning.
