We are proud of our senior choir member David! Congratulations on a successful marching season! Everyone come out Friday night and support our senior choir members!

Our final Senior Spotlight is Color Guard Captain, David Morris. David has been a member of the color guard for two years, Captain his Senior year. David has also served as volleyball manager for three years, competed on the tennis team for one year, track and field for five years, and has participated in criminal justice classes for 3 years. He has also been a choir member for four years and was selected for the UTM Honor Choir twice. During his junior year, David performed with Southeast Missouri State University's color guard.

David’s favorite band memory is Te’myra telling other schools’ band members she won state in track multiple times. His least favorite is when Ethan missed his mark in the drill and caused someone to trip over the bench. His favorite piece of music is "I Want It That Way" which he enjoys singing with the guard while the band plays.

Color Guard is important to David because it lets him showcase his talents, and he admits that the promise of “free food” convinced him to join. The most valuable lesson he’s learned from band is that hard work is essential if you want to succeed and win.
After graduation, David plans to attend Dyersburg State Community College's School of Nursing.

Congratulations Khloe on a successful year in band! Come out Friday night and support our band and Khloe!

Our first Senior Band Spotlight is Khloe Adams, a first-year member of the Color Guard. Khloe is also involved in Beta Club, Choir, Theatre, and FCA, and has been selected for All-Northwest Honor Choir, RHS Student of the Month, and Exchange Club Student of the Month.
After graduation, Khloe plans to attend Bethel University or UT Martin, majoring in Digital Marketing with a minor in Music Performance.
Her favorite band memories are getting food before games and talking with friends before call time. Khloe's favorite songs from band include “At Last” by Etta James and “Good 4 U” by Olivia Rodrigo.
When asked what band means to her, Khloe said, “It builds friendships and helps you be more active if you aren’t into playing football or other sports.”
She was inspired to join Color Guard after watching performances at last year's Bandmasters Competition, and with a little encouragement from fellow Senior, David, and Mr. Elam.
Her biggest takeaway from band:
“Keep pushing yourself, and you will see improvement.”
