📚 RIPLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING

Ripley Middle School will offer after-school tutoring Monday–Thursday from 3:30–5:00 p.m. Tutoring is designed to provide students with additional support in math, reading, and classwork.

Students may:
- Receive support with specific academic skills
- Get help understanding classwork
- Work on assignments with teacher support

Students do not have to attend every day. Families may select the day(s) that work best for their child’s needs and their family’s schedule.

📵 Cell phones and personal devices will not be permitted during tutoring. Students may turn their devices on at 5:00 p.m. when tutoring has ended.

📅 Tutoring Start Date
After-school tutoring will begin the week of October 12, with the first tutoring session on Tuesday, October 13.

Families will be contacted by the school regarding the specific day(s) their child will begin tutoring after registration forms have been reviewed and the tutoring schedule has been finalized.

The school will contact your family with your child’s assigned start date.

Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher to have a tutoring form sent home, pick up information at the RMS Front Office, or during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Information was also sent to parents who observe their child’s Canvas account, including attachments with more information and the registration form.

🎃 The Natural Helpers are at it again! 🎃

Our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest is back! 🍂

This year, our 7th- and 8th-grade Natural Helpers have been placed into randomly selected teams and are working together to create some amazing masterpieces! 🎨✨

Starting tomorrow, October 6, 2026, RMS students will have the chance to vote for their favorite! Voting will continue for approximately two weeks. 🗳️

🧡 How does voting work?
Students can bring in canned food items, and each can = one vote for their favorite entry!

Even better, this contest is about more than just some friendly competition. ❤️ All of the canned food collected will be donated to a local food pantry at the end of the contest.

Jayden Hannuum says Ms. Carpenter has a special way of making stories come alive, sparking her imagination, capturing her interest, and making learning exciting. Through her creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for teaching, Ms. Carpenter inspires Jayden to look forward to learning each day. ❤️
