🦸🎨 Our 3rd and 4th grade gifted art students created their very own Superhero Self-Portraits! Students used their creativity and imagination to design superheroes that represent their unique personalities, strengths, and special qualities. Our Hispanic Heritage Month presentations continued in the computer lab.

Today, Jordy taught us about pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish made from thick corn tortillas that are stuffed with ingredients such as cheese, beans, or meat. Pupusas are considered El Salvador’s national dish and are enjoyed by families throughout the country.

To make the lesson even more memorable, Jordy’s parents generously sent pupusas for our students to try. They were delicious, and our students loved having the opportunity to learn about another culture through both research and firsthand experience.

A special thank you to Jordy and his family for helping bring this lesson to life and for sharing a piece of Salvadoran culture with us!

RES was so glad to have some of our RHS football players stop by this morning to visit with our students and help welcome them by opening car doors! 🥰🙌

Our students loved seeing these familiar faces, and we appreciate our football players taking the time to be such great role models for our younger Tigers! 🐯
