This man embodies passion 🔥
It was an honor being his teammate Ty Warner
As a freshman wrestling for Claymont in 2013, Tyler Warner won his first state championship at 106 pounds in Ultimate Tie Breakers over Seth Beard of Napoleon.
Warner repeated as state champ the next year, finishing with a 43-1 season record.
At 120 pounds as a junior, he avenged his loss to Tariq Wilson in the state finals to claim his third crown.
Fighting to win his fourth state title as a senior, Warner fell to Seth Beard of Napoleon in the semifinals, but bounced back to place third.
Warner closed his high school career at Claymont as a 4x State Finalist, 3x State Champion, Ironman champion, and 164-12 career record.
Warner spent his college career at three Division II programs: Wheeling, Pitt-Johnstown, and West Liberty.
He was a 5x All-American and 2x National Champion at 133 and 141 pounds, going undefeated his senior season.
After college, Warner coached at Roanoke College before becoming the assistant coach at Mount Union, where he's entering his second season.
