EDUCATOR LICENSE FEES WAIVED! The Public Education Department is waiving all fees for licensure and background checks through March 31. This is for both new and renewing licenses so don't wait! The ASK Academy wants to send a big THANK YOU! to the Parent Support Committee. Thanks to your dedication and hard work, we were able to receive 621 reams of paper (!!!) during the month of September and give our beloved custodian, Mr. James, a proper celebration on custodian appreciation day.

Steven Harper, a Life Scout of Troop 708 and current 8th grader at ASK, is working towards his Eagle Scout rank while helping to improve ASK. Steven is planning to create shoebox-size kits with various fidget toys to help scholars focus. He also plans to make under-desk balance boards to help with foot-tapping. Steven has a goal to raise $1,230 USD to complete this project.

On Thursday, September 30th, our very own Welz family will help us kick off our 2021 Balloon Fiesta season! The Welz family will set up both a standard sized hot air balloon and a smaller remote controlled hot air balloon.

Scholars and their families are encouraged to come see and take pictures with the balloons from 7:15 am to 8:15 am on Thursday, September 30th.

Model United Nations will be on sight selling hot chocolate and donuts. Many thank yous to the Welz family for bringing the Balloon Fiesta to The ASK Academy’s backyard.

The Scholar Government is hosting a Middle School Game Night this Thursday, September 30th from 5-7pm.

Admission is $2, and there will be drinks and snacks sold as well. Please bring in your gaming consoles, computers, tablets, or any other devices you would like to game on. In addition, there will be board games, and projectors available for those who wish to present the games they are playing. Game night will be held upstairs in the Commons, and in the surrounding classrooms.
