Morning all. Here’s the making of my magnolia flowers. Have a lovely day! Xx

Cut from my garden this morning. I have always had difficulty arranging fresh flowers (I can do artificial flowers easily). I think these came out pretty well with minimum “fiddling” which is always my struggle.

Painted around 1996-97 maybe?

All my watercolors that I kept when we moved to MT have been packed up for around 15 years. Many others I gave away prior to our move.

I was taking lessons at the time. Their style was very realistic. Lovely for them but not so much for me. But I have always LOVED them memory of this so definitely cherish it ❤️

Will share some more recent pieces soon. It is fun, but I am learning that watercolors just aren’t my thing long term.

On our way to Vegas for a long weekend. Only an 8 hr drive from our house, and we really enjoy the drive just to unwind and feel less rushed.

I typically save handwork for car trips. When I try to do this sort of thing at home, there always seems to be a cat on my lap fighting for attention 🤣

I started this during the same drive in 2020. It won’t quite get finished this trip, but only 9 rows left I think. Soon, very soon!

This time if year is all about the artistry of the garden. I’ve been struck the past few days just by the beauty of the fallen rose petals as I trim and clean up all my bushes. It is pretty much a daily task now just to keep up with the yard. I do love it though.
