The junior social work students hosted the annual Social Work Picnic on April 29, 2026.

During the spring semester, students enrolled in Social Work Interviewing Skills and ESL courses completed a cultural collaboration interview project. Students shared information about their cultures, traditions, and experiences. This project also provided students with the opportunity to build relationships outside of the classroom!❤️

The Social Work student council is having a raffle to collect donations for local agencies.

This is our second fundraiser of the year. Money is used to donate to four different agencies- one in Jackson, Vinton, Gallia, and Meigs. Each agency will receive a $100 donation.

What’s in the raffle? There will be two winners!
Option one: a black Owala with a lottery ticket and a free barber shop cut from Mane Design in Gallipolis!

Option two: a pink/purple Owala with a lottery ticket and Valentino perfume!

The drawing will be the afternoon of May 6th. You can buy tickets until 7:00pm on May 5th!

Social Work Students Chloe Carroll and Madison Abel, members of the Grande Chorale, participated in "On with the Show" at the University of Rio Grande on Sunday, April 26th. Congratulations Chloe, Madison, and the entire Grande Chorale on a wonderful performance.

Social Work students and faculty had a wonderful time participating in the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College Health Fair on April 16, 2026. Students participated in the Intergenerational Walk with 3 students winning gas cards during the raffle. Thank you to Student Services for hosting this amazing event!
