Community members, volunteers, educators, students, local leaders, and service organizations have come together to organize donation drives and distribute essential supplies in an effort to support victims of the recent flooding.

Thanks to these collective efforts, a donation and distribution center has been established at the Rio Grande McArthur Center, helping ensure resources reach those who need them most.

While much has been accomplished, there is still a need for toiletries and cleaning supplies to support ongoing recovery efforts.

Supply distribution and donation collection will continue until 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Those in need of supplies should come to the back entrance near the workshop, where volunteers will be happy to assist you.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, and supported our community during this challenging time!

The Rio Grande McArthur Center is located at 105 Cherry Hill Lane, McArthur.

As demand for qualified nurse educators grows nationwide, the University of Rio Grande is expanding educational opportunities for nursing professionals with a new Post-Master’s Certificate in Teaching and Learning 🏥

This certificate is a specialized program designed to prepare experienced nurses for educator roles in academic and healthcare settings. This includes nursing faculty, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, and nurses working in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and other healthcare settings who want to develop the skills needed for educator roles.
