Calling Rio Alumni in the Trades & Manufacturing Fields!

Your experience could help shape the next generation. Rio is looking for part-time Industrial Machinery / Manufacturing Technology instructors at our main campus and centers in Jackson, McArthur, and Pomeroy.

If you’re working in areas like electricity, CNC, hydraulics, mechanical systems, or maintenance, this is a great way to give back, share real-world knowledge, and stay connected to Rio, all while continuing your career.

Hands-on classes. Real impact. Future workforce.

It’s Giving Tuesday!

Rio is growing and so is our impact.

This fall, we reached record enrollment, a clear sign that more students than ever are choosing to build their future right here at Rio. With our new Pike Center open and a multi-use center coming to McArthur this spring, we’re expanding access to education and workforce training across southern Ohio.

Today, you can help keep that momentum moving forward.

Your Giving Tuesday support opens doors, strengthens families, and lifts entire communities.

Join us in building a brighter future for southern Ohio.

Give today. ❤️

As my summer campaign comes to a close, I want to thank all of the Rio Grande alumni who reached out or met with me to share their stories. Hearing how Rio shaped your journeys has been both inspiring and affirming. Whether your memories were made in residence halls, on athletic fields, in classrooms, or around Bevo’s table, one thing we all agreed on is this — Rio made us who we are today.

This will be my final post for Sippen’ and Reminiscing’, as I step into a new role as Executive Director of Student Success here at Rio. In this position, I’ll be working to help our current students write their own Rio stories — ones that, years from now, they’ll look back on with pride and gratitude, just like we do.

As you sip your next cup of coffee and reminisce about your own Rio days, I invite you to also pour a little back into the place that poured so much into us.
On Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, please consider making a gift — no amount is too small (or too large!) — to help future RedStorm students find their own success stories.

Thank you for letting me share in your memories. Here’s to keeping the Rio spirit strong — one cup and one story at a time.
