Building the Future, Together!

This week marked the exciting start of our 2026–2027 Summer Curriculum Writing Institute, where teachers, principals, and district leaders have come together with a shared purpose: to strengthen instruction, analyze student data, and refine our curriculum to ensure the very best learning experiences for our students.

We kicked off our work in a powerful way by hearing directly from those who matter most—our students. Through authentic student voice panels, students shared their personal experiences, how they learn best, what engages them in the classroom, and what they hope to see more of throughout the school year. Their insights provided valuable perspective and reminded us why this work matters.

As we collaborate, reflect on data, and design meaningful learning opportunities, we are inspired by the voices of our students and energized by the dedication of our educators. Together, we are building a stronger, more engaging, and more student-centered educational experience for every child in RGCGISD.

We leave our first week feeling empowered, motivated, and ready to make the 2026–2027 school year our best one yet!

Hello Summer!

On behalf of Superintendent Mrs. Guadalupe Garza and the RGCGISD Board of Trustees, campus principals and their administrative teams gathered for a special “Hello Summer” appreciation luncheon celebrating a year of hard work, leadership, and teamwork.

The afternoon featured fun team-building activities that had participants moving, collaborating, and sharing plenty of laughs, reflecting the spirit of cooperation that helped drive success across the district throughout the school year. From the first day of school to the last, our campus leaders worked together to overcome challenges, support one another, and create meaningful opportunities for students.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch prepared by our outstanding Maintenance Department, providing the perfect setting for fellowship, camaraderie, and reflection on a successful year.

As Mrs. Garza shared, this gathering was an opportunity to celebrate everything that was accomplished together this year. Success is never the result of one person—it is built through the collective efforts of dedicated teams working toward a common goal. While summer offers a well-deserved chance to recharge, the commitment to excellence that defines our district will continue when everyone returns ready to do it all again for the students and families we serve.
