From games and laughter to making unforgettable memories with friends, it was a day filled with fun and excitement! Our 4th graders had an amazing time at Field Day! From relay races and team challenges to lots of laughter and friendly competition, the day was filled with excitement, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Today we celebrate and honor Mrs. Estelita Bazan on her retirement after 36 incredible years of dedicated service to our district. Throughout the years, Mrs. Bazan has touched the lives of countless students, families, and staff with her kindness, hard work, and unwavering commitment to education.
Her dedication and love for our school community have left a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. We are beyond grateful for all the years she devoted to helping our district grow and succeed.

John & Olive Hinojosa Elementary proudly congratulates fifth grade students Susanne Garza and Catalina Alaffa for their outstanding achievements in the 2025 South Texas District Youth Writing Contest sponsored by the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs, a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Susanne Garza earned First Place for her poem, “In-Between Places,” while Catalina Alaffa earned Second Place for her poem, “Colors.”

Susanne advanced to the State Level competition and proudly earned First Place honors once again!

We are incredibly proud of these talented Red Diamond writers for their creativity, dedication, and remarkable accomplishments. Congratulations, Susanne and Catalina, on representing JOHE with excellence and pride!♦️👏🏻👏🏻
