Students are working hard during WIN time to finalize art projects and original artwork. Projects will be shared during our Artist Showcase Night, Monday, January 26 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Riverside Elementary. Join us as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade advanced learners share what they've learned about artists and art styles, and show off their own artwork!

Our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have been hard at work on a special enrichment project all about ART! Over the past few weeks, students have explored a variety of art styles and techniques. Now, each student has selected one artist to study in depth, and they’ll be teaching others about their chosen artist during our Showcase Night in January.

What makes this project extra special is that students are taking the lead—working independently, asking questions, and guiding their own learning as they create their presentations. We can’t wait for families to see their creativity and hard work on display!

Stay tuned for more details about Showcase Night!

Fifth graders in the DCE Advanced Learners Challenge Program are simulating life during colonial times. They are "studying at the College of William and Mary, visiting the Bruton Parish, making laws at the Governor's Palace" and so much more. Daily social studies lessons bring history to life.
