The Master Cattlemen's Program is an 8-week long program meeting once a week to cover topics regarding cattle nutrition, reproduction, marketing and more! We have a top-notch speaker lineup from UGA's best!

While there are no New World Screwworm cases in Georgia, we’re asking livestock and pet owners to keep a close watch on their animals.

The most important thing you can do is know the signs and report suspected cases immediately.

Watch for:
• Draining or enlarging wounds
• Maggots or egg masses in wounds
• Signs of discomfort
• Lesions in body openings (nose, ears, genitalia, umbilical area)

Early detection is critical to protecting animal health. If you suspect NWS, report it right away to the Animal Health Division at 404-656-3667 or [email protected]
