Camp Carysbrook strives to provide a social and physical environment that promotes, develops and enhances the emotional, social, and spiritual potential of each camper and assists them in the discovery and enjoyment of themselves and the richness of life as they grow and develop. Located in the New River Valley just south of Roanoke, Virginia, Carysbrook is a traditional overnight camp providing a

safe, rustic environment empowering girls through outdoor adventure and fostering lifelong friendships. Camp Carysbrook offers a variety of activities including but not limited to English horseback riding, swimming, caving, rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, canoeing, archery, riflery, canoeing, fencing, arts & crafts, drama, dance, music, tennis, tumbling, synchronized swimming, team sports, recreational sports as well as nature study and ecology.

🐘 Why Carysbrook: “It wasn’t my intention to come back this summer but halfway through this past summer, I decided that there was no way that I could say goodbye to Carysbrook. Having the opportunity to create some of the most precious memories in these young girls’ lives is extraordinary. The lifelong friendships, memories, and values camp has granted me mean the world to me, and I know there is so much more to be a part of next summer.”

Who have become a part
Of the fabric of my life.

The color and texture
Which you have brought into my being
Have become a song,
And I want to sing it forever.

There is an energy in us
Which makes things happen
When the paths of other persons
touch ours.
And we have to be there
And let it happen.

When the time
Of our particular sunset comes
Our thing, our accomplishment
