Half lease for Sept/Oct/Nov is $450 a month, including two independent rides and one lesson a week.
Half lease for Dec/Jan/Feb is $350, including two independent rides weekly and lessons as the weather permits. My hope is the lease allows my riders to have more flexibility and stay riding more than they could if we were just at the mercy of a scheduled lesson time and mother nature through a New England winter.

To be considered for a lease rider must be able to demonstrate proper horsemanship in catching, grooming, tacking up, riding independently, and properly caring for a horse through the cold months.

💚 Available for Off Farm Free Lease as a project/potential lesson pony or companion 💚

Have you ever dreamed of working with a pony who knows just enough to keep things interesting and has more personality then the rest of my herd combined?

Meet "Tonks" - 12.2h 4 yo grey mustang mare

We are looking for an experienced child or small teen or lesson program with more children and teens that can continue her training, or someone looking for a fun companion pony. She's also be perfectly happy being a companion to another horse. She gets along with everyone. She's not marish at all. She's super easy going and she's an easy keeper.
Let me be clear in her abilities though:

🌱 Green? Oh, absolutely.
🌱 Finished? Not even remotely.
🌱 Smart? Very.
🌱 Cute enough to get away with it? Unfortunately, yes.
🌱 Potential? TONS.

She walk/trot/canters under saddle, but steering is questionable and her sense of forward is sometimes too much and other times too little. She's free jumped three feet with ease. She's been working on small pole/xrails courses. She's jumps beautifully but she's still at the point where half the time she comes to walk to carefully step over the cross rail before happily continuing.
She ties, trailers, good vet and farrier. She lunges and ground drives like a champ. I've had my kids ground drive her all over. She's been to a few clinics doing in hand work. She's utd on shots and farrier and I will pull a coggins when she's ready to move.

This is NOT the pony for someone looking for a push-button babysitter. She needs a rider or trainer with good basics, patience, consistency, and ideally an adult trainer/experienced horse person involved in her continued education.
I love this pony with all my heart, we've had since she was a yearling. But unfortunately I do not have the set up or time to continue with her right now.

Off-farm free lease long term or short term but only to the right situation. Home and rider will be carefully considered because this little green bean deserves a good match. 💚

Our Fall Session runs from Sept 1st - end of Nov. I have limited after school spots so please confirm your intent and availability as soon as possible. I have some new students to add into the schedule 😁
