When Springfield Elementary School - SPFD said they needed their snack closet restocked, we answered the call! Ruritan Kent Tobin shopped and delivered all these goodies on behalf of the club today. We are fortunate to have so many wonderful teachers joining us this year. Welcome Miss Alger!

Hello everyone! My name is Lillian Alger, and I am so excited to be a 5th grade teacher at Springfield Elementary School this year! Last year, I worked in the library as the library assistant, so I am especially excited to be back and get to work with many of the students I had the opportunity to know and teach last year.

I am currently attending James Madison University through the online program, where I am working toward my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am so thrilled to continue my journey at Springfield. It truly is such a wonderful place for students to learn, grow, and feel supported.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, being outdoors, and traveling. I am looking forward to getting to know my students and their families, creating a positive and welcoming classroom environment, and making lots of great memories together throughout the school year.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue being a part of the Springfield community, and I cannot wait for a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and fun! I am so excited to see what this year has in store!

Springfield Community - Help me welcome our newest Special Education teacher - Jacob Webb.

Hello everyone,

My name is Jacob Webb and I am very excited to be at Springfield Elementary working as a special education teacher, the same school I went to when I was in elementary school.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University, and am currently enrolled in classes to obtain my master’s degree in education.

In my free time I enjoy doing activities with my lovely wife whether that is cooking, walking, or spending time watching our favorite shows. I also quite enjoy reading, and watching sports.

I have been a part of Page County Public Schools for a few years now, and to be able to be a part of Springfield, connecting with the students, parents, and larger community is an opportunity I am extremely grateful for.
