World Down Syndrome Day 2024!!!
I was blessed with a job teaching children with special needs for the first time in 1997. Before that I had volunteer opportunities that allowed me to be blessed by those with special needs from a very young age. The biggest lesson I learned as I was blessed with these friendships was that everyone has the ability to learn, grow, and bless those around them. I truly learned more from the individuals I was called to teach and serve than I could have ever dreamed of teaching them.
If we all could become fully aware of the amazing abilities of others.
If we all could encourage and act on, the acceptance and participation of others.
If we all could truly include others.
The world would be a much better place.
Every child deserves a world full of love and acceptance.
Love Does Not Have A Need To Count Chromosomes!
I am Honored, Proud, and Blessed to be the Grandma of a Perfect Little Girl that is part of the Lucky Few born with Down Syndrome!
I wouldn’t change her for the world! But I wish I could change the world for her.
I am grateful to know that she will always change the world around her for the better!
