13th Annual 5k Turkey Trot Run/Jog/Walk

Join the Rifle High School Track and Field team in celebrating the 13th Annual Rifle High School Turkey Trot! Come and join local families and others from around the country for fun where you can run, walk, or jog your way around the course. Support the Rifle High School Track and Field Team by running a 5k before you partake in all of the wonderful Thanksgiving Day Goodies. We're hosting this FUNraiser in hopes of raising funds for the upcoming track season!

It is time to lace up those running/walking shoes and get signed up for the 12th Annual Turkey Trot. Come walk, jog, or run a 5K before you partake in the festivities of Thanksgiving. This is an amazing family and community event that takes place on Thanksgiving Morning! Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with a Little Gobbler Run at 8:45 a.m. and Big Gobblers at 9:00 a.m. You can sign up by following the link below or using the QR code on the flyer. We can not wait to see you all there!

Shout out to all those who helped this morning get the football field ready for tonight’s football game against Delta!! Thank you to the Johnson and Petree families, and all the track athletes that showed up! Now it’s time to beat Delta!! GO BEARS!!

Hey Bear Country! With the Rifle Bears Football team getting prepared for the first home game against Delta, why not get ready as well with an amazing parking spot to watch the game. The Rifle Track and Field team has three parking spots left at Bear Stadium for sale. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to help the track team in the upcoming season. Buying a spot gets you a great parking spot for all home games including playoff games. If it is raining or snowing fear not watch from the comfort of your car while the Bears Battle it out on the field. Contact Chris Bomba or any Rifle Track coach for information. Come and join local families and others from around the country for fun where you can run, walk, or jog your way around the course. Support the Rifle High School Track and Field Team by running a 5k before you partake in all of the wonderful Thanksgiving Day Goodies. We're hosting this FUNraiser in hopes of raising enough money to help buy new track equipment, including, a safety discus cage.

Event details and schedule
When:

Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 24th, 2022. Registration and check-in will start at 8 am with the Little Gobbler run Starting around 8:50 am and the Big Gobblers start time at 9:15 am.

Where: Deer Field Park, 300 E 30th St, Rifle, CO 81650

Registration:

Early registration through the active.com link (Shirt size guaranteed)

$25 for individuals or $70 per family.

Large Families/Groups of up to 6 - 8 is $120 Early Registration (Shirt size guaranteed)

On and after 11/12/2022 prices increase to $30 for individuals, $100 for families, and for large families/groups $160 (Shirt Sizes are not guaranteed!)

Good afternoon! The 10th annual Turkey Trot was a ton of fun and such a great turnout! Here are the times for the top 28, we did not get all the names and some bib tags did not have names on them. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and our sponsors who helped make this a possibility. See you next year for the 11th Annual Turkey Trot!

A reminder to all those out there looking to do something over the Thanksgiving week. There is still time to sign up for the virtual Turkey Trot to support your local Track Team. You can run/walk/jog it from anywhere in the country and at any time during the week of Thanksgiving! Then you post your results on the active website. This is a great way to get active and do a safe activity with your family during a time where getting into large groups is frowned upon. I know it is a little weird to think you will not be running with the herd on Thanksgiving but you still can run/walk/job with family members in your own designed 5k and have fun doing it.
