Good afternoon Cub families.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. today, a drain backup occurred in a sixth-grade science classroom, causing an unpleasant odor. Out of an abundance of caution, students and staff were relocated to alternative learning spaces, and emergency services were contacted to assess the situation.

First responders inspected the area and confirmed there are no fire, chemical, or health hazards. Our maintenance and custodial teams are actively evaluating the plumbing system to resolve the issue, and all students and staff remain safe.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the local fire and police departments for their prompt, professional response, as well as to our maintenance and custodial staff for their swift actions to ensure a safe environment.
