There’s a lot more than math happening here.

Our older children work one-to-one with Swarthmore College student math coaches, getting the individualized support they need to strengthen their skills and build confidence.

But over time, something else happens, too. Our children and coaches get to know each other. Some have worked together for several years, building relationships that go well beyond solving equations.

We couldn’t let National Smile Day pass without sharing just a few of the smiles that brighten our days at the CCC. We hope they brighten yours, too! 😄

🖐️ Have you heard of Hand Hopscotch?

Our children tried it, and fourth-grader Clifford summed it up perfectly: “This is harder than it looks.”

We love hearing - and seeing - the CCC filled with so much joy.

More than 60 children fill CCC "HQ" each Wednesday for math practice, music rehearsal, and Chess Club. We provide the rides, the food, and plenty of fun and encouragement along the way.

They’re with us for hours, but we squeezed a busy Wednesday at the CCC into less than a minute. Take a look.

Put down the pumpkins. 🎃 There are still a few more days of summer remaining!

And we have the perfect way to keep the summer vibes going: an encore performance of the CCC’s summer concert featuring some of the biggest hits of the ’80s. 🎶

Gather your friends and family, visit our website or YouTube page, turn up the volume, and enjoy the show!

When the CCC presented its first-ever country-themed concert in 2023, there was one song we knew we had to include: "Jolene."

At first, our children weren't quite sure what to think about a country music concert. But as they spent the summer getting to know the songs, they fell in love with the storytelling at the heart of the genre, something Dolly Parton mastered like few others.

Today, we're looking back at our children's performance of "Jolene" and remembering an artist whose music still brings people together across generations.

Thank you, Dolly. 🩷🎶

It's a bee-utiful day to look back on a very "sweet" moment from our Summer Learning Program. 🐝 🍯

Our third- and fourth-graders explore the natural world through our partnership with the Scott Arboretum & Gardens. During one memorable class, Steve from the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild introduced our children to the fascinating world of honeybees, sharing fun facts, a close-up look at a hive, and, of course, a honey tasting.

This summer, our youngest children built confidence and a love of reading with caring community volunteers by their side.

On National Book Lovers Day, we're celebrating those volunteers who spent their mornings reading one-to-one with our children, helping foster a lifelong love of books. Thank you for making a difference, one page at a time. 📚
